Hello, this is Aosorabouzu!!
I recently hopped around three countries—Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore!
Out of the three, I spent the most time in Malaysia, and during my stay, I started thinking, “I kinda want to check out the nightlife…” That’s when I caught wind of something called a “SPA,” and ended up visiting two different places.
This article is all about my experience and impressions of the first one I visited. 🙂
What is “SPA” ?
In Japan, the term “SPA” usually refers to public bathhouses, saunas, or facilities that offer massage services along with bathing.
But in Malaysia, the meaning is quite different. These SPAs allow you to choose a masseuse and enjoy an exotic, intimate experience.
From what I’ve researched, unlike countries like Germany, such services are technically not legal in Malaysia.
That’s why you won’t find detailed descriptions of the services on their websites or in any public-facing materials.
Hokkaido… in Kuala Lumpur?!
As a Japanese guy, let me just say this upfront:
There was absolutely nothing Japanese about the service at this so-called “Hokkaido” SPA. 😂
Not a hint of Japan anywhere—no decor, no greetings, not even a token sushi poster on the wall.
The name might scream “Japan,” but what you get is 100% Malaysian-style indulgence.
But let’s set that aside for now—first, let’s talk about the location.
It might be a little hard to find, so let me explain: this place isn’t a standalone building.
It’s tucked away behind a shopping mall, kind of in the back alley area.
To the left, you’ve got Lot 10, and up a bit is the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, both of which are popular tourist spots.
If you’re here for sightseeing, chances are you’ll be nearby at some point anyway.
And just to the bottom left, there’s Jalan Alor Street, a well-known and bustling night market—another big draw for tourists.
So yeah, the fact that it’s right in the middle of tourist territory is actually a pretty big plus.
Now, back to the SPA.
This place—Hokkaido—has zero visibility from the outside. You can’t see a thing through the doors.
You’ve got to press the intercom to be let in. It’s located in a semi-secluded back entrance of the mall, where there’s still a bit of foot and vehicle traffic, so yeah… it can feel a bit awkward with people around. 😅
When I rang the intercom and stepped inside, I passed by a guy who had clearly just finished his session.
A male staff member greeted me and led me deeper inside.
The interior gave off the vibe of a repurposed hotel—maybe that’s what it originally was.
There was a front-desk-like area, and past that was a fairly spacious lobby.
I was asked to take a seat on the lobby sofa, and then offered a drink. I ordered an iced tea—no charge for that.
After a short wait, I was told to go up to the second floor.
The layout up there was very hotel- or apartment-like: a narrow hallway with several rooms branching off.
Eventually, I reached a slightly wider corridor with another sofa. The staff guy had me sit there.
So there we were—me and him—sitting side by side on this small couch.
Then about 10 girls walked in.
And I’ll say it straight—they were all cute.
If you’re into Japanese-style looks, you won’t be disappointed. There were also some girls with Korean vibes.
While I sat there on that cramped little couch in the hallway, the staff member began giving me a rundown in English—where the girls were from and how much they cost.
If I recall correctly, they had girls from Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, and Malaysia.
I originally thought I’d go for a local girl—keep it local, right?
But one Indonesian girl totally caught my eye, so I picked her.
If I had to compare her to someone, she looked kind of like Haruka Ayase (a Japanese actress—look her up!).
The price was 278 MYR (about $60 USD).
I handed the money to the staff and went into a room with her.
We quickly showered together, then moved to the bed and got started.
One thing that stood out to me was how much more care she put into the oral part of the service compared to similar places in other countries.
But once we moved on to the main act, it felt kind of rushed and mechanical—definitely a downside.
After finishing, we took another quick shower and got dressed.
She didn’t even look back at me—just walked off without a word.
When I stepped out of the room, the staff guy motioned for me to head downstairs, and from there I exited the building.
Here’s how I felt after the SPA experience:
Before I realized it, the time was over in no time, but the girls were of a high level and it was great.
When I previously visited Ping Pong Mansion, many girls had heavy makeup that felt artificial, but this time, many had natural makeup, making it a great cost-performance experience.
The service at “Genesis,” which is nearby, was definitely better, but it’s nice that there were lots of cute girls here. *I will write about Genesis in a separate article.
